Happy New Year everyone =)
Some of you may remember me or some may not but I used to be on the original forums and served as a moderator there before its closure.
Still have fond memories of the times spent at the clan arcade, welcoming new members, writing announcements, discussing about the world of the Chronicles of Ancient Darkness in the campfire, roleplaying in the deep forest, chilling in the wanderer's meet, and judging many many talented members entries both in writing and art competitions alike, whilst planning new events as well of course.
Finally finished the fifth and final Gods and Warriors book today and was moved enough by the nostalgia of it all to go and dig in to whether any remnants from the old community remained and was pleasantly surprised to see not only a wiki thread regarding regarding the revival of the clan but a new forum board up and running as well. Its a brilliant piece of work so huge props Nanuak for setting this up. On a personal note I really do believe this is something really essential to have to build a nice community and fan base toward any series, and its a shame to see such a gem in the form of Michelle's writing go undiscovered by many due to the lack of publicity and followup on the community. (its something to which I believe largely attributes to the success of book series such as the Harry Potter books and I feel that the CoAD and Gods and Warriors series could really have been so much more with the help of a strong connected community/fanbase). Hope we'd all be able to cling on to the hope that things like these might spark even bigger, better and greater things in the future to come.
Before this gets too long, wordy and draggy (it probably already is), I'll just end by saying that its great to see you all again!
(and do send a pm my way if any of you are interested in catching up with me)
Warmest regards to all
